Full Tilt Software
Full Tilt Software
Full Tilt is hands-down one of the top poker communities on the Internet, in large part due to their easy-to-use and comprehensive software suite. Full Tilt's secure, fun, and simple front-end interface makes joining the online poker craze easy for new players and old pros alike. Once you've familiarized yourself with the basics of what Full Tilt has to offer, it's a simple matter to find the right game and table for your needs. Read on to discover some of what Full Tilt's software can do.
Full Tilt's poker lobby is customizable, so players can quickly pick a look that they enjoy. Whether you prefer the cut-down Basic View or the full-featured Standard, it's easy to make the software work for you. A minimal display is also available for players with smaller monitors who want to conserve screen real-estate. Full Tilt's browsing area rests front and center in the window. Browsing options include different types of games, tournament rules, betting structure, and more. Be sure to select the proper mode when browsing for games -- Full Tilt offers both play money and real money games. The toggle switch is located above the browsing area on the right-hand side.
Below the Full Tilt client's browsing area is the game layout. Game info is organized into a series of columns. On the far left is the date column, indicating when the game is set to begin. Next is the game being played at that table, followed by the betting type (no limit, pot limit, etc.) After these comes the buy-in, the minimum amount of money required to sit down at the table. The right-hand columns list the status of the game (registering, in progress, etc.) and the number of players who are currently seated at the table. Players can sort the game list by column, a handy way, for example, to view all the Omaha games at once, or all games with a $10 buy-in. Consult the legend in the bottom right-hand corner for help with the Full Tilt icons.
Once you've selected a game or tournament and registered at the table, it's time to win some money! Full Tilt's in-game user interface is easy to navigate and generally lays out functions on large, easy-to-read buttons. Each player's balance and remaining time are displayed beneath their player name; each player must act before his or her timer expires to avoid mucking the hand. Some actions can be registered ahead of time, so pay attention to opportunities to make your play more efficient. If you're certain, for example, that you're about to fold, you can do so before your turn comes around and muck your cards automatically when it's your turn. Nearly everything in the table display can be customized including the size of the play area.
Whether you're heads-up at the end of a long tournament or sharpening your skills in a ring game, Full Tilt's software suite has a lot to offer. Using the filtering and customization tools will make your game more enjoyable, so make that software your own. Good luck in there!
